Tear That Building Down EP: The story of these 5 songs
In 2008, I moved from Denver, Colorado to The Hudson Valley, New York and yeah, the first couple of years were rough. We had moved across the country for a job my wife had taken, and I had left my community and my home, landing in a place I’d passed through once. While I had spent a lot of time in New York City, this place was different. It was dark and wet, and I was a stay-at-home dad with two small kids and no job. It was January, and to put it bluntly, I was lost. It was during this time that I wrote a new collection of songs. They were dark.
